TaskStep 5 of 6 in Analyse with AI

Run an analysis with a questionnaire

Create a questionnaire from a template, evaluate its questions against the project's documents, read the answers with their sources, and re-run what needs more work.

An analysis is a questionnaire evaluated against the documents. Create it from a template, run it, and then work through the answers question by question, re-running the ones that need a sharper instruction.

Before you start

  • The project's documents show Ready in Files. Documents still processing are not read.
  • You are an editor or owner of the project, and your organisation has credits.

Steps

  1. Open the project's Analysis page and select New Questionnaire. Pick a template, preview it if you like, and select Use; or select Blank Questionnaire to write the questions yourself. The questionnaire opens in the editor.
Only templates that have finished processing are offered.1.Blank Questionnaire2.A template3.Use
  2. Adjust the settings if the default does not fit: select Settings in the toolbar above the document and choose the Research Lens, Default Output Style and Default Research Depth. Custom Instructions apply to every question; a rule such as Quote amounts in EUR thousands saves editing later.
  3. Select Evaluate in the toolbar, tick the statements to run in the panel that opens, or Select all, add instructions for this run if useful, and select Evaluate (N). Each statement shows Evaluating… and then Completed or Failed; you can leave the page while it runs.
The summary chips count completed, failed and not-yet-run statements; the failed chip selects them for a retry.1.Select all2.Instructions3.Evaluate (N)
  4. Read the answers. Each statement's answer carries citations; select one to open the page or cell range that supports it. For a weak answer, open the statement's menu and choose Reevaluate, add an instruction such as Only use the 2024 audited accounts, and run that statement alone.
Re-running one statement leaves the others untouched; the previous answer stays in Versioning.
  5. Check Tasks in the toolbar for anything the AI could not find. A document request there names the missing document; upload it, then re-evaluate the statement.

Check the result

Every statement reads Completed, the answers cite documents from the room, and Versioning lists a Snapshot before evaluation for each run. Export produces the Word document; see Export a questionnaire or an artifact.

If something goes wrong

A statement shows Failed

Select the failed chip in the Evaluation panel to select those statements and run them again. If it fails repeatedly, shorten the question or narrow it with an instruction.

Evaluate is refused with Insufficient balance

Your organisation is out of credits. An admin adds credits under Plans & credits; see Credits and billing.

An answer cites a source you cannot open

Source unavailable means the document was deleted or you no longer have access to it. Ask a project owner for access, or re-evaluate the statement so it cites current documents.

The template you want is not offered

It is still Processing after an import, or its access was restricted. Check the Templates library.
