Export a questionnaire or an artifact

Turn an evaluated questionnaire into a Word document, and a chat artifact into a PDF, a slide deck or a download you can send to a client.

Two things leave the app as files: a questionnaire as a Word document, and a chat artifact as a PDF, a PowerPoint deck or a download. Pick the route by what you need to hand over.

Before you start

  • The content exists: an evaluated questionnaire, or a conversation with an artifact in its Artifacts rail.

Steps

  1. A questionnaire as Word. Open the questionnaire and select Export in the toolbar above the document. Choose the citation format, Inline Citations, Reference List or No Citations, decide whether data room documents are linked or named, and whether web links are included, then select Export as Word. The .docx downloads when it is ready.

  2. A chat artifact. Select the artifact in the Artifacts rail. Documents and slide decks open in Preview; switch to Edit to adjust the text. The More actions menu holds Export PDF, Export PPTX for slide decks, Download for the file itself, and Version History, which keeps checkpoints you can restore or compare. Spreadsheets open as a sheet preview and CSV files as a table; download them from the same menu.

Check the result

The file opens outside the app with the content and citations you chose. For a Word export with Link to VDR, each citation opens the document in the data room for anyone with access.

If something goes wrong

Export as Word is the only option for a questionnaire

That is by design: a questionnaire exports to Word. For a PDF or slide deck, ask the assistant to build a document or deck from the questionnaire's findings and export that artifact.
